Physiotherapist consultation
Functional assessment and an individual therapy plan.
A physiotherapist is a certified healthcare specialist with one job — helping your body move the way it was meant to. Whether the pain came from an injury, surgery, long hours at a desk or simply the years, a consultation is the first step to understanding the cause rather than just muting the symptom.
How does a consultation work?
- Conversation — what brought you here: complaints, daily habits, the nature of your work, past injuries.
- Assessment — posture, range of motion, muscle strength and balance, with functional tests where needed.
- Plan — together we decide the way forward: therapy methods, home exercises, the rhythm of follow-up visits.
We draw on a broad toolbox — manual and soft-tissue techniques, therapeutic massage, exercise therapy, sling therapy and physical modalities. Which ones — your assessment decides, not a template.
From head to heel
The list is not exhaustive — the body will always find something new. But these are the conditions we work with every day.
Head and neck — tension and neck-related headaches, dizziness rooted in the cervical spine, stiffness and pain when turning the head, tightness after long hours at a screen.
Shoulders and arms — shoulder stiffness and "catching" when raising the arm, rotator cuff damage and inflammation, an unstable shoulder after dislocation, tennis and golfer's elbow, tingling or numbness in the hands (including carpal tunnel syndrome).
Back — acute and long-standing pain in the lower back, mid back or neck, disc damage — from bulges to herniations — radiating into an arm or leg, spinal curvature and postural deviations, vertebral wear and canal narrowing, muscle tension knots.
Hips and knees — joint wear (arthrosis) and the stiffness that comes with it, meniscus and cruciate ligament injuries, pain when climbing stairs or standing up after long sitting, recovery after joint replacement.
Feet and ankles — ankle sprains and their after-effects, Achilles tendon overload, heel pain, arch changes that echo up into the knees and back.
When it is bigger than a single joint
Neurology — regaining movement after a stroke, living with Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis, polyneuropathies, balance and coordination problems.
Heart and lungs — a safe return to activity after a heart attack or cardiac surgery, breathing training for chronic lung conditions.
Oncology — maintaining strength and mobility during treatment and recovering after it.
Chronic pain — when it has hurt for months and is already affecting sleep, work and mood.
Pregnancy and postpartum — safe movement while expecting and recovery afterwards.
Prevention — when nothing hurts yet and you would like to keep it that way.
Not sure whether your case is "serious enough"? It is. A small problem is easier to prevent than a neglected one is to treat.
